Sewage Collection
According to the IBGE, 89.4% of Lages households have adequate sewage systems. Compared to other municipalities in Santa Catarina, Lages ranks 26th in this indicator. It is worth noting that the term "adequate" refers to the disposal of waste through the connection of the household to the sewage system or septic tank. In this regard, data from the last census indicate that only 63.6% of households were connected to the sewage or storm water system, while the remaining 36.4% had septic tanks as their destination.

According to the IBGE, in 2010, Lages had 32.9% of urban households on public tree-lined streets and 26.7% of urban households on public streets with adequate urbanization (presence of drains, sidewalks, paving and curbs). It also has the rail network of ALL - América Latina Logística.
